They will teach you practically anything, from making hummus to building apps in node.js, most of them for free. There is absolutely no excuse for you not to master a new skill, expand your knowledge, or eventually boost your career. You can learn interactively at your own pace and in the comfort of your own home. It’s hard to imagine how much easier it can possibly be.

Un interesante artículo que analiza los problemas que presentan los MOOCs y por qué todavía no han sido la revolución que se esperaba.

Son "un producto muy malo". Falta interacción humana. No hay apoyo Tutorial. Malos resultados.

Algunos ya están reaccionando.

Y para hablar de aprendizaje a lo largo de la vida, ahora que todo es mediado por las tecnologías, cito "Según Sean Michael Morris, uno de los facilitadores de #moocmooc, laMOOCificación consiste en aprovechar [en un momento dado] el poder de una red para el aprendizaje: en lugar de crear un curso para construir una red, la MOOCificación se apoya en los nodos de una red para enriquecer una actividad de aprendizaje o una tarea. La MOOCificación también se refiere a un enfoque pedagógico inspirado en los MOOC que se implementa en cualquier otro tipo de curso". Es el tratado aquí publicado y que nos acierta hacia nuevas expresiones en cuanto a la educación se refiere.
